Don’t laugh, but I have never seen The Lion King. I don’t know what I was doing around the time it was released in 1994. All I know is that it came and went and I missed it. Good for me that Disney is re-releasing The Lion King for a limited time in theaters on September 16. Also, this time it will be in 3-D.

A special two-week theatrical extravaganza kicks off Sept. 16, 2011, don’t miss your chance to see The Lion King again or for the first time like moi.

And then on October 4, Disney will release The Lion King in various formats so you can have the entire remastered movie.

Disney’s Island in the Bahamas: Castaway Cay

If you missed my first Disney Dream post, you can find it here. There I talk about embarking on Disney’s newest cruise ship.

On Thursday morning we docked at Castaway Cay, Disney’s own private island in the Bahamas. Here’s the view we saw when we woke up and stepped out on our verandah.

One thing I learned after visiting Disney World twice as a mom blogger is there are some extremely savvy moms who know the park and everything it offers like the back of their hand. They know everything from when to get the best deals for family vacations to Disney World to where to take your children to eat in the park if they have food allergies. These Disney moms are amazing!
