BLOGGER TRIP: EA Sports Active Wrap-Up Trip to NYC

This time last week I was in the mall buying new clothes. Why? Because I lost 25 pounds during the EA Sports Active Challenge and I needed something to wear! Last Sunday I flew into Newark with @momspective and @mommybrain and then was driven into Manhattan to the Marriott Marquis.

First, let me say the Marquis is right on Times Square. I mean — right on Times Sqaure! Some people hate that, but I thought it was pretty awesome staying in the heart of the city.

On Sunday night we went to Tao (love it!!) and had some of the best food I’ve ever tasted. If you ever go to Tao I highly recommend their Chilean Sea Bass. @ReneeJRoss, @wiifitgirl and I were talking about it even when we had all come home; it was THAT delicious. Here are a few pictures I took of our dishes.

Yum! Sushi.

This was swordfish and it was delish!

Walking home from Tao I took some pictures of Times Square. It’s a collection of huge visual monstrosities, but I love it.

The next morning we went to the Today Show to stand on the Plaza. I must say I was terribly cold the whole time, but being there was so special that I didn’t really care about the weather. The bad thing is I didn’t get any pictures because I left my camera in my hotel room, but I did take video that I’ll upload another day.

Later on Monday we had our wrap-up session and one-on-one interviews where we talked about our experiences using EA Sports Active. Can’t wait to see those videos on www.easportsactive.com. We got a chance to talk to the media who dropped by and then local NYC mom bloggers came by to see us like Kim from Mom in the City, Isabel of Alpha Mom, Carol from NY City Mama and Onica from Blasian Baby Notes who I met first during the Happy Hour event. Thank you all for coming!

I also had a wonderful time with Isabel, Jessica from Jessica Knows and Renee from Cutie Booty Cakes in The View Lounge on the 48th floor of the Marquis. The view was to die for and sitting with those three brilliant women was amazing!

On Tuesday I headed home and EA Sports treated me to a limo ride to the airport. I’m always amazed when I ride in a limo. It never gets old.

Me, heading into the airport, 25 pounds lighter and feeling the best I’ve felt in a long time!
