Active Mothers, Active Kids
A study released on bmj.com says mothers who are active during their pregnancies are more apt to raise active children. The researchers determined that women who participated in brisk walking or swimming, for example, while pregnant retained an active lifestyle even after pregnancy. This active lifestyle was then positively translated to their children who were also quite active at ages 10 and 11.
It goes without saying that being active is vitally important for everyone, pregnant moms and children included. Getting at least moderate exercise allows you to feel better about yourself instantly, better fit into your clothes (and we all know that’s a plus!) and helps us live happier, better lives.
